So, I have been dating and the guy I’m seeing makes me super happy. And, not to mention, he’s super cute, photogenic and doesn’t get upset or annoyed at the fact that I love takings pictures of us/having pictures taken of us 😁 That said, I was able to get some cute pics of our date night, though we have yet to master the art of taking pictures of our food before we completely demolish it. However, between all of our laughing attacks and serious conversations, I was able to get a few cute pics of our date night at the Delmar Loop (‘The Loop’), which is a few blocks comprised of stores, restaurants, and music. Delmar Blvd. is a lively and diverse area to hang out at, so I highly recommend giving it a shot sometime. That is, if you haven’t already done so!
I made that gif; I freaking love making gifs!
The boo thang (Adam) and I started our night out at the famous and beloved restaurant, Blueberry Hill. The Restuarant is nicely decorated with “sports memorabilia” and has a retro vibe. The service was great and what’s nice is that the whole atmosphere is so lax, so it’s typical that your waiter is the same way, in that they do their job but they are not overbearing. You’ll see what I mean once you enter the restaurant and are immediately face-to-face with a sign that instructs you to seat yourself.
It’s honestly a super chill restaurant and I have a great time every time I eat there. 🙂
that ^ picture isn’t mine! click it to be taken to its original site, thanks 😉
Funny story: once Adam and I both ate our food and our waiter cleared off the table, then, and only then, did I realize we had yet to take pictures of our time at Blueberry Hill. So, being the creative gal that I am (😎😎😎), I turned to the right and noticed that our booth had a mirror attached to it. So, it was then and there that I had Adam participate in what probably seemed like hours to him, mirror selfie time with me!
Also, the food was great! So, here’s the menu if you’d like to take a look at what the have to offer: Blueberry Hill’s Menu
We then continued to sit and talk for a bit. And once we decided we wanted to go get some ice cream, we made our way to the oh-so-delicious Baked Bear! Well, we had actually tried to stop by Vintage Vinyl, only to find that it was already closed. Bummer, right!? Oh well, there’s always next time, right? Anyways, we decided to just turn around and head to The Baked Bear, since we were both super eager to see if the ice cream lived up to all of the hype. I didn’t realize that the walk would be as far as it was, seeing as Blueberry Hill is located near Fitz’s and Vintage Vinyl and The Baked Bear is located a little bit past The Paegent (a music venue/nightclub). But, the walk was bear-able (see what I did there? 😉), because I had Adam holding my hand and making me laugh the whole time.
Let’s just say this: when it comes to Adam and I, there are never any dull moments. I promise.
Before we got there, I had mentally prepared myself to be walking into an overcrowded ice-creamery and having to wait in an annoyingly long line. But, to my dismay, the place wasn’t crowded. In fact, Adam and I were able to pick out our treats and find a table to sit at, only to notice that just seconds after we claimed our seats and started eating, did everybody decide to show up. But, I don’t blame them one bit, because…
The Baked Bear is absolutely amazing. Like, wow. So, so, so good!
From the menu, I ordered a cookie sandwich with:
- two funfetti cookies
- birthday cake ice cream
I also had it warmed up, which was good, but it made my sandwich fall apart almost right away. So, I think next time I will opt out of having it warmed up. But, nonetheless, I was totally in heaven with my ice cream sandwich. Adam got a cookie dough ice cream sandwich, which he also loved, but admittedly liked mine even better! I guess I just have really good taste, huh? 😋
Here is the menu below. I added light pink arrows to the selections I ch0se, but here is all of what they offer. My mouth is watering just from looking at the menu right now!
some of the various ice cream flavors
literally Heaven on earth! 😋🤤
disclaimer: that’s an evil eye tattoo, not a bug 😉
a close-up shot of perfection
After we finished our treats at The Baked Bear, Adam and I decided to walk the blocks of the loop. It was really nice to finally be able to walk around outside without having to deal with the cold, the snow, or the rain! I managed to talk Adam into taking some cute pics of me. And let’s just say that he’s getting better at his photography skills, seeing as I got one good picture. But, you know what they say, “If at first you don’t succeed, try, try, try again.” And, he did just that —
outfit details will be below!
along our walk, we came across a nice couple who took some cute pics of the two of us! I honestly love the way they turned out
We make a cute couple, don’t we!?
All-in-all, our date night was absolutely lovely. And what made it even nicer was the fact that the weather had finally started getting warmer, at his point, so we weren’t restricted to just staying inside. Because if any of you are also from St. Louis (or Missouri), you know how cold and dreary it’s been. I had an amazing time and I think it’s safe to say that Adam and I will be returning to The Loop for another date night in due time!
Thanks for reading and love to you all! 💗💗💗
